Strawberry Shortcake Meets Dr. 90210
There’s some very Berry bad news on Jezebel today…the Powers-That-Be at American Greetings decided to re-vamp my beloved Strawberry Shortcake to look like this:
This makes me want to cry. I NEVER EVER EVER would have thought to give Strawberry Shortcake a make-over because she never needed one. I guess she’s ready to compete with Barbie and the Bratz now, though.

Uh! Why? Why? Why? Make some new characters! Leave the classics alone! They are Classics for a reason!!!
I agree. The original SSC is so adorable and now with the remake I don’t even want to buy that for my daughter b/c it’s just not the same!
oh i also love the classic strawberry shortcake too…! so sad. I wish we can tell them not to do it!
