Happy Halloween! Phineas and Ferb Costume Success!
The last minute Phineas and Ferb costume scramble paid off, because my nephew’s homemade Agent P costume turned out great. So, to celebrate, here’s Perry the Platypus’ theme song:
I hope everyone else has success with kids’ Halloween costumes this year. Now get out there and enjoy the day!

Mr. Potato Head Gets Ready for Halloween
I love Mr. Potato Head because it’s safe for kids as young as 2, but older kids still have tons of fun changing the faces and playing games with Mr. Potato Head as well, therefore it is like the perfect kid gift. Mr. Potato head has also been a pretty budget-friendly toy throughout its long history, which makes it especially appealing in these penny-pinching times.
The best part about Mr. Potato Head is that he stays current, with new looks to keep kids amused for hours. I am totally cracking up over all these Halloween “costumes” for Mr. Potato Head:

Mr. Potato Head Trick or Tater: Mr. Potato Head can be a Vampire or a Ghost with glow-in-the-dark eyes. Scary!
Mr. Potato Head Transformers Optimash Prime: Toddlers will love transforming their Mr. Potato Head into a talking robot car.
Mr. Potato Head: Star Wars: The Clone Wars 3-Pack: My favorite is Darth Tater, but the Spudtrooper and Artoo-Potatoo are pretty cool as well.
Mr. Potato Head is also a great baby Halloween costume you can make at home, if you are still scrambling for last minute ideas.

One Week Until Halloween: Animal Costume Ideas
The final countdown starts today! It’s the last weekend before Halloween and if you don’t have a costume for your little one yet, you better get on it! Here are a few last minute Halloween costume ideas.
Monkey See, Monkey Doo Romper: What’s not to love about a monkey-themed baby Halloween costume?
Frog Prince Baby Costume: The Frog Prince costume is perfect for little boys who have an older sister going as Princess Tiana for Halloween.
Baby Dinosaur Costume: I think it would be hysterically funny to see a baby dressed as a dinosaur riding around on Kota the Robo-Triceratops. Not likely to happen, but it would still be funny.

The Amazing World of Phineas and Ferb
I had never heard of Phineas and Ferb until this weekend when my nephew announced that he intended to go as Perry the Platypus for Halloween. Never mind that Halloween is less than 2 weeks away and Phineas, Ferb, and Perry the Platypus Halloween costumes don’t exist. Sigh.
The upside of this last minute scramble to make a Perry the Platypus costume is that I am learning a ton about the hit Disney animated series Phineas and Ferb. Here’s the rundown, so you can keep up with the kids in your life:
- Several of the characters on Phineas and Ferb are voiced by actors like Allison Janney, Malcolm McDowell and Caroline Rhea, to name a few. That’s pretty cool.
- The official Phineas and Ferb website is chock full of fun activities for kids, but seriously, invest in earplugs before letting your little ones check it out. You will thank me.
- Each episode of Phineas and Ferb has at least one musical number, with songs like Gitchi-Gitchi-Goo, that may get stuck in your brain for days. Again, ear plugs may help avoid this annoyance.
Ok, that is all I have for now. I am off to continue my quest for a teal sweatsuit that can be transformed into a Perry the Platypus costume. Wish me luck.

Blue’s Clues Romper- Why kids love Blue’s Clues is a mystery to me, but this baby looks totally adorable.
My First Thomas Costume- A Thomas the Tank Engine costume is perfect for little engineers in training.

The new Strawberry Shortcake DVD collection isn’t the only cool gift for berry sweet girls. Check out these ideas:

Kids Halloween Costumes: Disney Princess
One great thing about Disney Princess costumes is that little girls will probably try to wear them well after Halloween, which makes them something of a bargain. Hours and hours of playtime fun from just one costume! The downside is that little girls will probably try to wear them well after Halloween to places like school and the mall, so you may have a little trouble convincing your little princess that it’s time to put the costume away. But these costumes are so adorable, can you really blame little girls for trying to wear them as much as possible?
- Disney Princess Cinderella Prestige Collection Gown: This Cinderella costume is what I consider a little on the pricey side ($48.99), but it is stunning.
- Disney Princess Ariel Costume: The blue side panels on the skirt of this Disney Princess Ariel costume create the impression of swimming under the sea. Pretty cool!
- Disney Princess Belle Costume: Your little girl will be the Belle of the ball in this adorable golden Princess Belle costume.

Spooky Baby Halloween Costumes: Vampires
I admit, I am a little Halloween-obsessed. But these baby vampire costume ideas are seriously cute.
Young bloodsuckers in training prefer Lil’ Vampire Pacifiers.
This Baby Vampire bunting costume features exquisite tuxedo styling-for ages 0-6 months.
A less traditional approach to the classic Vampire costume: the Vampire Bat.

More Baby Halloween Costumes: Superheros
Here’s a quick rundown of superhero-themed Halloween costumes for babies:
I am not quite sure why this is called the Deluxe Animated Batman Bunting Baby Costume, but the description is correct in saying that “your baby will be the talk of the party,” especially if your kid is as happy about this Halloween costume as the kid in the picture.
I think the Hulk Infant Costume is absolutely adorable. The “character hood” totally cracks me up.
This Super Baby one-piece jumpsuit looks comfortable and cozy enough to wear beyond Halloween. Plus, it totally completes a Super Family group costume.

More Baby Halloween Costumes: Star Wars
Star Wars costumes are the perfect solution for babies who like to cruise around town in a custom-built Star Wars stroller. I am having a hard time deciding which one I like most:
Baby Obi Wan Kenobi - Not sure how I feel about infants handling light sabers, but it is an adorable Halloween costume.
Baby Princess Leia - I think the “hair” alone makes the Princess Leia costume worth purchasing.
Baby Chewbacca - Speaking of hair, what is going on with Chewbacca’s fur here? This costume makes Chewbacca look like he’s been through one of those weird poodle grooming sessions. And yet as much as this offends the Star Wars fan in me, I somehow find it irresistably cute. Go figure.
